Leonard A. "Skip" Roth, 69, Kansas, died at 6:26 a.m.
Monday, Jan. 3, 2005 at his residence.
He was born June 6, 1935 in Hancock County to Eugene Roth and
Dotty (Prowant) Roth Stark. He married Carolyn G. Feterle on June
11, 1955 at Bettsville United Methodist Church and she survives.
He is also survived by children, Ricky R. (Marianne) Roth, Connecticut;
William A. (Chris) Roth, Michigan; grandchildren, Katie Hill,
Thomas Roth, Daniel Roth, Cynthia Roth, Amy Roth and Gary Ray
Roth; godchildren, Andrea Roth Brickner and Corinna Roth Mondle;
brothers, Charles Roth and James (Stacy) Stark, both of Tiffin;
Herbert (Vicki) Roth and James (Joan) Roth, both of Fostoria;
Franklin Dan (Judy) Roth, Bradner; sisters, Joan (Rudy) Herion,
Fostoria; Judith (John) McClish and Paula (Carlton) Fruth, both
of Findlay; Betty (George) Gase, El Cajon, Calif.; Linda (Roy)
Dotterweich, Old Fort; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, John
P. Stark, one son, Leonard E. Roth, and one sister, Evelyn Filliator.
Mr. Roth retired from Roadway Express in 1994. He also drove
truck for Craun Transportation. He began working for Roadway in
1967. He was a member of the Tiffin Elks. His hobbies included
gardening, hunting, fishing and he was an avid reader of the Cleveland
Plain Dealer and big Cleveland Browns fan.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home,
Bettsville, with Rev. Jim Mussman officiating. Burial will be
in Pleasant Union Cemetery.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral
home.
Memorials may be made to Community Hospice, Shiloh United Methodist
Church or Mercy Hospital Outpatient Department.

Donald J. Roth, 76, Fostoria, died Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 11,
2005.
He was born March 7, 1928 in Norwalk to the late Frank C. and
Rose I. (Hosman) Roth. He married Mary Charleen Williams on June
13, 1950 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church and she survives in Fostoria.
He is also survived by daughter, KarenSue Roth, Fostoria; grandson,
Jamie Roth, Fostoria; brother, Bernard R. Roth, Fostoria; sister,
Mrs. Jerry (Marcella "Sally") VanBuskirk, Bascom; stepgrandson,
Michael Richards, Bloomville; step great-grandson Joseph Richards,
Republic; and son-in-law, Howard Richards, Fostoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Garnita Babb.
Mr. Roth retired in 1988 from Allied (currently Honeywell) after
40 years as a tool and die inspector. He was a member of St. Wendelin
Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #1197 Third Degree.
He was an active St. Wendelin Parish member who helped with the
parish festival and was a concession worker at St. Wendelin ball
games. He worked and helped prepare the baseball field by plowing
and striping the field. Don was a former member of the Ford Wagon
Train camping group and a member of the Fostoria Eagles #430.
He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran where he served as a medic.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Wendelin
Catholic Church where a Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Burial
will be in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery where the United Veterans
of Fostoria will conduct military honors.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hoening
Funeral Home where a Christian wake service will be at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
